FIX ERROR “There was a failure while initializing..” SAAT MEMBUKA PROJECT DI VISUAL STUDIO 2005

MENGATASI ERROR “There was a failure while initializing..” SAAT MEMBUKA PROJECT DI VISUAL STUDIO 2005

Ketika pertama kali kamu menjalankan Visual Studio 2005 pernah tidak menemukan messagebox tampil dengan pesan error seperti di bawah ini :

“There was a failure while initializing the Microsoft Visual SourceSafe source control provider. You cannot use this provider to perform source control operations.”

Saya juga sering mengalami masalah seperti ini. Berikut ada dua solusi yang bisa mengatasi masalah tersebut.

Solusi 1 :

1. Buka VS2005, Klik menu Tools -> Options, kemudian klik "Source Control"

2. Pilih "None" pada pilihan drop-down list dibawah "Current souce control plug-in".

Solusi 2 :

Mengganti Values dari registry key dengan membuka regedit masuk ke HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SourceSafe

1. Ganti Values SCCServerPath menjadi C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VSS\win32\SSSCC.DLL
2. Ganti SCCServerPathDebug Menjadi C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VSS\win32\SSSCC.DLL
